The Director’s Cut: Rosemaund Release 003 Arrives 1 September

As the light softens and the orchards turn, a richer side of Rosemaund is ready to be revealed.

On 1 September 2026, we will release The Director’s Cut, our third 10-year-old English single malt whisky.

There will be 3,000 individually numbered bottles, bottled at 47% ABV and available for £126, including UK delivery. For the first time, a Rosemaund release will be available to buy directly from our website without entering a ballot.

A richer side of Rosemaund

The Director’s Cut is a bourbon-led whisky, shaped by carefully selected Oloroso sherry and virgin-oak influence.

Master Blender Tristan Stephenson has brought the casks together to create a whisky with weight and autumnal richness, while retaining the orchard fruit and malt character that run through Rosemaund’s mature stocks.

On the nose, there is baked red apple, orange zest, wild berries and gentle nutmeg.

The palate is oily and fragrant, with toasted oak, malt and warming baking spice.

The finish is long and elegant, carrying white pepper and ripe autumn stone fruit.

Why The Director’s Cut?

A director’s cut is not about adding more for the sake of it. It is about judgement: selecting what belongs, removing what does not and allowing a clear point of view to emerge.

That felt right for this release.

Release 001 marked the revival of Rosemaund Farm Distillery. The Orchard Cut captured the brightness of an English spring. The Director’s Cut moves into deeper territory, showing what our mature spirit can do when bourbon, sherry and new oak are brought together with restraint.

It is a whisky shaped by ten years in cask, but also by the decisions made at the end of those ten years.

Ten years in Herefordshire

Rosemaund Farm has been home to the Chase family since 2007 and was the original home of Chase Distillery. Today, its old farm buildings house our stills, warehouses and a growing inventory of English whisky.

Our mature spirit was made with English-grown Maris Otter barley and has spent a decade resting among the old apple orchards of Herefordshire.

That provenance matters to us. Not because whisky needs another romantic story, but because place, grain, people and time genuinely influence what reaches the glass.

The Director’s Cut is unmistakably Rosemaund: English orchard fruit, cereal depth, mature oak and a quietly confident finish.
