Your cask will be filled with spirit made from heritage Maris Otter barley grown here in Herefordshire, double-distilled at Rosemaund and matured on the farm, just metres from where it was made.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor 2027, we have secured a parcel of first-fill ex-bourbon casks from Willett Distillery in Kentucky, one of America’s great family-owned distilleries.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe quality of the wood matters enormously. These freshly emptied American oak casks will help shape the whisky over the years ahead, bringing vanilla, orchard fruit, gentle spice and depth while allowing the character of our spirit to remain at the centre.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe could buy cheaper wood.
